I stayed at Passy 2 yrs ago and loved it!! Had an amazing view of the Eiffle Tower from my hotel, Trocadero and the Seine. Felt totally safe walking around too.

This is fantastic! I lollygagged around Paris for 8 days in May and it was wonderful. Highly recommend. But next time in France I want to see another region and just take a day in Paris. Good to see how this can be done. Thanks Jay!

We were there last week and the area in front of the Eiffel Tower was closed and ruined my picnic op 😞

So not all the churches are that old. When I took my young cousins to see Sacre Coeur, I accidentally told them it was built in the late 1890s, they looked at me and said "there's a church in our hometown in the US that's older than that!" And then they had no interest in going in 😂😂😂, I should've taken them next door to Eglise Saint-Pierre, lol, that one actually is old and I don't think I've even ever been in it.

To make things worse I believe there will be dedicated lanes for shuttle busses to and from events. It's gonna be a mess...le BOARD-ELLE as you would say in French.

@JaySwanson Based on what the temporary stadiums at the Place de la Concord look like at the moment, would it be possible to see the competitions from the square? I bought tickets for the "Concorde Urban Project" (access to the square during the Olympics) - and am now wondering if I'd be able to catch sight of the competitions once I enter the square... According to renders / 3d concepts, they will leave one side of each stadium "open" (i.e. without the seats and facing the square), but I am not sure how it is gonna look like in real life (i.e. whether they would manage to block the view somehow...).

Interested in what you've got to say about Paris dating. I'm English but lived in Dijon for a year 20 years ago. Did not date once but that was probably more about me. I'm lining up dates for a Paris trip next month (pre Olympics) and finding Paris people much better to talk to :))
